Ben has been managing marketing teams since 1988 to achieve specific client goals. He enjoys leading the discussions that result in branding strategies and the tactical execution plans that achieve those specified goals. His work in Healthcare Marketing has shaped a larger practice devoted to behavior change.
Ben’s focus is on putting the right people and tools in place, aligning the stakeholders and nurturing the creative process. His entrepreneurial spirit has driven him to launch five companies in two decades. Three of them are still operating successfully. He’ll tell you the other two did not have enough of a marketing budget to remain viable ;-).
He considers it a badge of honor that he launched an internet start up in 1994 that failed in 1997, before the 90's tech boom exploded. The experience points to his affinity for all things digital, his ability to learn from both success and failure, and his perseverance -- he's been running this company and launching new ones since 1992.
Ben’s heart never leaves his work. Having founded, directed, staffed, volunteered for and consulted to a wide range of institutional non-profits during the past 25+ years, he brings significant experience applying corporate marketing and communications approaches to branding and development initiatives for the non-profit sector. His consulting work for two of the four Big 4 accounting firms demonstrates his breadth of industry expertise on the corporate side.
Ben has traveled extensively in Europe and the Middle East. Through his business and conference travel he has visited cities in Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, China and Russia. Ben is often sought out to speak on global and domestic emerging market trends and digital marketing at conferences and workshops around the world.
Ben holds a BA in English from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Northeastern University.
Patricia has been working in international marketing for more than a decade. She is originally from Brazil, bringing language skills in both Portuguese and Spanish to the Tessellati team, as well as extensive experience supporting businesses from diverse industries in defining and executing their overall marketing strategy.
Patricia's expertise in branding and communications planning has contributed to the implementation of competitive recruiting tactics for academic institutions. Her work leads to successful brand positioning and approach and results in higher conversion rates for targeted promotions.
Patricia's experience spans creating brand strategies and marketing and communications plans as well as managing the execution. She has expertise in content and collateral production (digital and print), events and trade shows. Additional demonstrated strengths include working in fast-paced, hands-on, growth-oriented environments while ensuring that brand messages, standards and communications are understood and implemented consistently and effectively.
Her multi-lingual skills and cultural sensitivity provide valuable marketing perspective to the range of client projects she manages.
Patricia holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing & Advertising from ESPM in Brazil, and the Credential of Readiness (CORe) from Harvard Business School Online.
Jennifer is a marketing innovator with 20 years of experience developing and implementing communication strategies and advertising campaigns. She has worked as a senior marketing executive in various industries, including healthcare, wellness, hospitality, high tech, and the arts. With expertise in brand, digital, email, and content marketing, Jennifer partners with our clients, helping define marketing goals and design targeted strategies for success.
Jennifer's strengths extend to art directing for print and digital. She has directed photoshoots in the US, Europe, Central America, and Asia and managed various video production for education and lead generation. She is an ardent creative collaborator driven by a passion for storytelling and helping clients communicate their unique stories to effectively engage prospects at every stage of the customer journey.
An enthusiastic, process-driven team player, she loves the operational challenges as much as the creative process. Her positive, can-do attitude contributes to effective teams and positive project outcomes.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy from Boston College. She has certifications in content marketing and social media strategy. In addition, she is a Kripalu yoga teacher and Duke Integrative Medicine Health Coach.
Chris brings a wealth of online marketing experience to the Tessellati team from over 25 years in the field. His specialties include SEO, SEM (paid search), eCommerce, online marketing, social media marketing, branding, direct marketing, internet marketing, marketing communications, and event marketing.
He strengthens his skills through continual practice and study of marketing disciplines.
After two decades as a broadcast journalist and creative and marketing leader, Britt now advises our clients in creative, integrated marketing and brand storytelling. As we become intimately familiar with our client’s story and business challenge, Britt partners with our planning and strategy team to ensure a clear value proposition, a sound strategic plan and solid creative brief. She then provides custom creative campaigns, concepts and direction that will meet that challenge with beautiful creative, flawlessly executed.
Britt’s most recent previous role was Vice President and Executive Producer at Edelman, where she spent eight years looking after the fast-growing creative and marketing teams for the Corporate & Public Affairs practice, including Edelman NY’s academic clients, with a specialty in film and video production. Britt was a founding member of the firm’s most robust creative team, now over 100 strong, and spearheaded the firm’s creative offering at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, expanding it over 7 years. She served as EP for the creative around the annual Edelman Trust Barometer, the firm’s signature IP, for six years and in 2016 served as EP for the creative within the campaign that won Grand Prix Titanium and Promo/Activation Lions at Cannes.
Over her career, Britt has formed and steered integrated teams of specialists and creative partners to win business and deliver award winning creative including above-the-line creative and creative execution including film and video, print design, photography, experiential and digital. She particularly enjoys engaging directly with the C-Suite of companies large and small around their marketing and creative ambitions.
Before working in marketing, Britt’s years as a journalist armed her with the presentation and media training skills she has leveraged and taught throughout her career. She served as a local on-air reporter, assignment desk manager, producer, shooter and editor in New York after getting her start at the DC Bureau of the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather.
An avid traveler, Britt has traveled to six continents, including Antarctica, and hopes to cross Australia off her list very soon. She graduated cum laude from George Washington University with a BA in History and a Minor in Journalism.
Iliana dives deep into data to ensure client digital marketing initiatives deliver. From initial analysis of campaign criteria through optimization, Iliana’s ability to interpret numbers enables Tessellati clients to make sound marketing decisions based on real results.
She’s a natural collaborator who brings extensive experience in leading cutting-edge digital campaigns, managing media placements, and executing event marketing to the Tessellati team. Her expertise is most often tapped for the strategic implementation and reporting of clients’ digital marketing campaigns. Our clients value her facility with Google Analytics, excel, and other more niche data analysis tools paired with the rare ability to translate findings into understandable insights.
As a native Spanish speaker, Iliana leans on her Hispanic background and cultural awareness throughout her work. She volunteers as a foster youth mentor and serves on the board of directors at Silver Lining Mentoring in Boston. Guiding and educating the youth is one of her passions, especially those with greater needs.
Iliana is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Boston, having earned a BS in Business Management with a focus on Marketing and minor in Communications Studies. She continues to pursue training in the digital ad space to stay ahead of the industry’s evolving trends.
Rachel graduated with a BA in Public Relations from Roger Williams University, where she was constantly involved in school activities from blogging for her university to chairing public relations for her school's Acapella program. She was also involved in helping create new programs for future students. Post-graduation, Rachel has taken on many roles for a variety of companies ranging from lifestyle brands and restaurants, to destination marketing. All of which translate well to her ability to support and provide perspective on Tessellati's service offerings.
Rachel believes that there are always opportunities to learn new skills and she is always up for a challenge. At Tessellati, she ensures the office hums and everyone, and their projects, are on track. She is passionate about bringing her ideas to the table and working with our team to meet every client need.
Carrie brings nearly two decade’s experience in public relations and communications to the Tessellati team. Her career commenced in the San Francisco Bay Area during the height of dot-com mania. There she was welcomed into the fold of Ask Jeeves’ corporate communications. She was at the forefront of search analytics and the monetization of online content. It was the cusp of digital marketing, and a lot of very fast paced fun. Carrie moved on to a full-service marketing agency in Indianapolis, Miller Brooks, where she managed the firm’s largest PR client Saint-Gobain’s CertainTeed Corporation, and worked with other trade and consumer accounts including Delta Faucet Company, Chicago Metallic, ClarkDietrich and more.
Her cautiously adventurous approach to life has helped her family adjust to moves across the country and around the world. Most recently Carrie’s family returned to the U.S. from a two-year stint in Japan, which allowed for life-changing travel through the Kansai region and Tokyo, as well as Vietnam, Thailand and Guam. She now resides in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and recently joined the Tessellati team where her learning agility and quick engagement fit right in. Carrie attended Oklahoma State University where she earned a BA in Journalism & Broadcasting.
Ann Marie brings a diverse skill set to the Tessellati team allowing her to work on a variety of projects from high-end print collateral (annual reports, invitations, sell sheets) to social media ads, animations and infographics.
With over 10 years’ experience in the field, she has a background in print-production, ranging from screen printing to large format, as well as layout design, illustration and working knowledge of digital design.
Ann Marie’s positivity and curious nature drive her passion for conceptualizing and designing unique solutions that fit client needs. Ann Marie loves being a lifelong student, always learning new tools and jumping into projects that offer an exciting challenge. Ann Marie holds a bachelor’s degree in art with a graphic design concentration and marketing minor from Salem State College.
Reina Sekiguchi is a digital strategist and writer with a breadth of experience in developing engaging marketing collateral for academia, healthcare, and retail. With her diverse professional background in E-commerce financial planning and merchandising, Reina is adept at synthesizing and translating data and research insights into a clear, creative, and highly marketable digital package. She has contributed her versatile voice and keen editing eye to Intead’s Recruiting Intelligence Blog and other brand projects for more than five years.
An avid traveler, Reina has visited over 15 countries across the globe including Thailand, Pakistan, and Japan where she worked as a Classroom Specialist at The American School in Japan’s English language immersion summer camp. Her international focus informs her current work as a manager of travel experiences and merchandising strategy for the digital fundraising platform, Omaze.
Reina graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College with a BA in Psychology and a minor in English. She is based in Los Angeles, California.
Yining (Sally) completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Irvine, majoring in Education Science. Currently, she is a graduate student at Boston College, studying International Higher Education.
Sally's skill with data analysis provides Tessellati clients with the insights that drive marketing plans forward with confidence. She brings to the team a passion for learning which is what data analysis is all about. The story often hidden in the data from market research and digital marketing campaigns points the way to future success.
Sally is a firm believer in never limiting oneself to only one aspect of a chosen field of study. As such, she loves learning as much as she can about how institutions brand and market themselves in a variety of industries. She brings all that learning to each client project and keeps adding to her knowledge base. Our clients are the beneficiaries.
Linda brings to the team over 20 years of graphic design experience that translates into fresh and creative concepts for our client collateral. She has experience conceptualizing and designing diverse marketing pieces within the healthcare, education, architecture, publishing, giftware, travel, and manufacturing industries. Our clients love how easily and naturally she translates content into something both artistically engaging and conversion effective.
Graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design, Linda is passionate about transforming clients’ messages into innovative visual concepts that will appeal to target audiences and add value to their brands.
Betsy is a highly skilled editor and content-writer with a BA in Political Science from Wellesley College. She has an eagle eye for imperfections and an instinct for content that engages. Her passion for meaningful expression is clear in her writing, and she has a fondness for foreign languages that further enhances her skill set and value to our clients.
Betsy has always had a strong interest in health, education, and the environment, and has experience with writing and editing in each of these fields. In over two decades of work and leadership volunteering with small businesses and non-profits, she has become an invaluable source of experience and editorial skill for our clients.
Liz brings 10 years of professional editing experience to the team. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Duke University and a certificate in professional editing from UC Berkeley. With a breadth of experience in medical and academic writing, from journal articles to master’s and doctoral theses, she is a well-rounded and valued asset. Her past work running a bookstore has also exposed her to literature in every discipline, which helps her connect with just about any written material and makes her the ultimate grammarian.
