Ben has been managing marketing teams of internal and freelance talent since the early 1990s to achieve specific client goals. He enjoys leading the discussions that result in branding strategies and the tactical execution plans.
Ben’s focus is on putting the right people and tools in place, aligning the stakeholders and nurturing the creative process. His entrepreneurial spirit has driven him to launch five companies in two decades. Three of them are still operating successfully. He’ll tell you the other two did not have enough of a marketing budget to remain viable ;-).
Ben’s heart never leaves his work. Having founded, directed, staffed, volunteered for and consulted to a range of institutional non-profits during the past 25 years, he brings significant experience applying corporate marketing and communications approaches to development initiatives for the non-profit sector.
Ben has traveled extensively in Europe and the Middle East and less extensively in Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, and China. Ben is often sought out to speak on emerging marketing trends at national and international conferences and workshops.
Ben holds a BA in English from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Northeastern University.
Patricia has been working in international marketing for more than a decade. She is originally from Brazil, bringing language skills in both Portuguese and Spanish to the Tessellati team, as well as extensive experience supporting businesses from diverse industries in defining and executing their overall marketing strategy. Her expertise in branding and communication planning has contributed to the implementation of competitive recruiting tactics for academic institutions, leading to successful brand positioning, approach, and resulting in higher conversion rates.
She has expertise in creating brand strategies, marketing and communication plans as well as managing execution, including content and collateral production, events and trade show organization. Additional demonstrated strengths include working in fast-paced, hands-on, growth-oriented environments while ensuring that brand messages, standards and communications are understood and implemented effectively.
Her multi-lingual skills and cultural sensitivity provide valuable marketing perspective to the range of client projects Patricia manages.
Prior to joining the Tessellati team, Kate spent seven years working as a pediatric research coordinator at Tufts Medical Center. Her experience managing complex projects, cultivating community partnerships, and developing communications for diverse audiences prepared her well for her current role in marketing. Kate’s understanding of healthcare and research practices makes her a strong partner for non-profit organizations. At Tessellati, Kate works with our major healthcare organizations to publish quarterly newsletters that reach 800,000+ people and have successfully achieved 16% positive behavioral change among the newsletter readership, according to our research.
Kate prides herself on her ability to transform complex content into engaging, readable copy. She believes that any story can be an interesting one if it is told with the appropriate approach: a combination of creativity, clarity, and often, humor. In addition to her writing abilities for the web, print newsletters and press releases, Kate brings familiarity with creating online survey instruments and managing datasets.
Cathryn has always been curious about other cultures and ways of living. She has studied in three countries, carrying with her an energy and zest for life. As a recent graduate, Cathryn brings to the team a fresh perspective and a positive outlook. She graduated from the University of Kent, UK with an MSc in Marketing and a BA in Communications from Assumption College. Her drive to explore and excel has propelled her to Tessellati, where her passion for new and unique experiences translates well into her work.
Cathryn’s previous marketing experience includes creating digital content to promote study abroad programs through blogging, web content and social media. She also has experience using analytics to measure the impact of social media marketing. Her attention to detail makes her a strong copywriter and editor and her background in graphic design and photography gives her a sense of visual aesthetics that continually informs her work. Cathryn brings a grounded perspective that ties the boundless nature of creativity to a practical understanding of business practices. Her combination of abstract and analytical skill serve our clients well as we develop and launch our marketing plans. When she is not working, Cathryn enjoys yoga and other athletic pursuits that help her stay relaxed and focused.
Jenny brings a unique and powerful perspective to the Intead team through her cultural and educational background. Originally from Guangzhou, China, Jenny completed her BA in Business from the Guangdong University of Finance before coming to the U.S. to complete her MS in Business Analytics at RPI.
Her previous marketing experience includes working with FYE to analyze customer purchase behavior and perform data mining techniques to provide recommendations on marketing strategies. She also has experience in web design and development and builds many promotional landing pages and email templates using marketing automation tools such as Mailchimp and Hubspot.
Jenny tracks our digital marketing results from social media and adword activity and ties that to web traffic analytics. Her ability to decipher the story that the complex data tells brings valuable insights to our client project reports.
Jenny is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and of course, English. She adds her unique cultural perspective to our client work adding to our ability to target specific audience segments accurately.
Ben supports an extremely wide variety of projects across all media and client engagements at Tessellati. His dexterity with graphic design tools is valued here.
Ben’s consistent performance, positive energy and enduring enthusiasm keep the Tessellati design team running smoothly. Ben has designed vibrant and effective static and motion graphic digital ads for client campaigns. He has worked closely with a number of our healthcare clients to support both internal and external communications initiatives through web design and print collateral including newsletters and training manuals.
Ben is drawn to all things design and enjoys exploring new design and illustration techniques. His previous experiences includes his work with Cottrell Brewing Co, a craft brewery, designing new print collateral, packaging, and further developing their brand & identity. He is always looking for new design challenges, whether print, web or interactive. Whether he is working on a new website design or creating a new set of printed marketing materials, Ben enjoys the process of developing visual identity and using his expertise to solve design problems.
